This year’s Solstice Parade starts at 3:00 p.m. (as opposed to the usual 12:00 p.m.) so we’ve got plenty of time to meet in Fremont and ride beforehand! After all, it’s not the only parade going on right now–the sockeye salmon are parading up the fish ladder at the Ballard Locks. Let’s take a scenic ride over and sympathize with their uphill run.

Meet at the Fremont Fair bike corral (1st Ave NW and N 35th St) on Saturday, June 22nd at 11:00 a.m.

We’ll cross the Fremont Bridge and ride along the Ship Canal Trail then return through Ballard, to check out the progress of the Ballard Neighborhood Greenway!
